CrossFit Renaissance Working out

1. What brought you to CrossFit Renaissance?

I came to CFR looking for something different. I was bored with regular gym classes and running.

2. What was your first impression?

My first impression was that although I was so sore, this was what I needed.

3. Has that changed?

My impression has not changed. I am sore most days but this is truly what I need!!!

4. What are you currently working on?

With the help of the CFR Warrior class, I am currently working on better kipping pullups, hand stand push ups and ring dips.

5. What is the toughest part of CrossFit for you?

The toughest part of CF for me is me. I am hard on myself, wondering why I can’t do certain things or why I’m not faster. I like the competitor aspect, but sometimes I need to take it down a notch!!! Sometimes I need to let myself know that at least I am doing something.

6. What is your favorite memory at CrossFit Renaissance?

I have a lot of good memories about CFR. The feeling of laying on the floor after a tough WOD and making a sweat angel and that being posted was fun!! I also love the community aspect of CFR. We have some of the best cheerleaders around!!

7. How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I joined CFR in January of 2012.

8. What kind of results have you seen, both physical and mental?

Physically I am stronger and leaner. I may gain and lose the same pounds but I definitely feel leaner and look leaner in clothes, especially when I am keeping good track of my food intake. Mentally, CFR has made me stronger too. It’s a great stress reliever as well. Being in the Master’s class(45-49) my body and mind is going through some changes I have no control over, but I think CFR is helping me through!!
