What brought you to CrossFit Renaissance?
“I came into CrossFit Renaissance significantly over weight. I wanted to gain strength and lose weight the correct way.”
What was your first impression?
“My first impression of the staff was one that, sadly, I haven’t come across too often. If I had one word, I would say selfless. I felt like my goals and aspirations became theirs.”
What are you currently working on?
“I’m currently working on dropping weight and building stamina. I want to be able to dominate physical fitness tests for the military.”
What’s the toughest part of CrossFit for you?
“The toughest part of CrossFit for me is taking that step to try something new, whether it’s a new movement or even something as small as adding more weight. However, the staff is so well-versed and motivating and will drive you to your full potential.”
What is your favorite memory at CrossFit Renaissance?
“I have a ton of great memories with the Crossfit Renaissance family. There are far too many to list. However, my favorite personal accomplishment/memory would have to be the final day of my on ramp program. I didn’t do phenomenally well, nor did I do it effortlessly. However, compared to the day one workout, I killed it. That is when I saw the magic in this program and in this Crossfit family. After seeing the improvements I made in that little bit of time, I knew I could overcome any physical challenge if I dedicated myself.”
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
“I have been doing crossfit since April of 2016.”
What kind of changes have you seen, both physically and mentally?
“I am proud to say that I’ve lost over 70 pounds and am down 8 pant sizes. I fit into clothing I haven’t been able to wear in years. Mentally, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. The drive and determination I’ve acquired from CrossFit Renaissance is unimaginable and I couldn’t do it without this CrossFit family.”
