Nutritional Supplements: What Our Coaches Take?

At CrossFit Renaissance, we try to make some services convenient for our members and surrounding community. We want to take some of the guesswork out of it and refer you to the brands we have fully vetted; the brands we ourselves use. I asked our team of coaches what supplements they are currently taking and this is what Coach Ryan said: 

“I take Creatine after a Workout and a Whey Protein daily to help me hit my macro targets.”

If your goals include improving strength, adding more muscle mass or improving your exercise performance, Creatine is a good supplement for you. Mix a scoop with 12-24 ounces of water and drink during or after your workout. It also aids in recovery.

If you are trying to lose body fat and in a caloric deficit, Whey Protein is for you. It is a low car & low fat supplement. Whey Protein makes meeting your macro targets a lot easier and it can be taken at any time of the day!  Just add a scoop of protein powder to water, milk or in a smoothie; added to oatmeal or even yogurt…. Endless options.
