CrossFit Renaissance is conducting it’s first ever CrossFit for Football Workshop in Philadelphia, PA.

Coaches Bill and Kevin are currently in week 4 of 6 training a group of motivated young men from the Clearview High School Football team ranging in age from 15-17 years old.

What is CrossFit for Football?

Football athletes are trained in all the major barbell lifts that transfer directly to football or will otherwise improve their strength and power for football. We also cover sprint mechanics and conditioning drills / workouts to improve their athletic conditioning on the field.

A Typical Workshop Day

Each day of the CrossFit for Football Workshop starts with about an hour of instruction and strength testing followed by a football-specific strength and conditioning workout.

CrossFit for Football Objectives

– Instruct the athletes on how to execute movements safely and effectively.
– Have athletes grasp the importance of strength and conditioning as it relates to their sport, and the separation from their competition that it affords when done correctly.
– Have athletes perform organic functional movements at high intensity to simulate the demands placed on an athlete during a football game.

Want to Know When We’re Holding the Next CrossFit for Football Workshop?

Football is a game of seconds and inches.

The CrossFit for Football program knows the demands placed on players during the game and the distances they will have to travel. With this in mind, we can replicate the stresses and situations a player will face on the field. By combining high intensity movements with a comprehensive strength and speed program, the result is an unparalleled training program for football players at any skill level.
