How did you first get into doing CrossFit?

I have always worked out due to being a college athlete.  I got pregnant with my daughter and was placed on exercise restriction, which

was a bummer, because I loved working out.  Then after my daughter was born, I couldn’t find the time to fit it into my schedule or find

something I could stick to.

About 1.5 years after I gave birth, I was watching a Fox 29 segment and saw this gym in my neighborhood flipping tires and thought

well that is right up my alley!  I drove by a few times and didn’t stop.  A few months later, I saw a Groupon for CrossFit Renaissance.

I went to check it out and here I am 5 years later!

What are you most passionate about, professionally?

I love watching newer members succeeding; doing things they never thought possible, hitting Personal Record lifts or beating a previous

score on a WOD; watching our senior members getting stronger and living healthier, independent lives.

What are you most passionate about, personally?

Showing my daughter that woman are strong, independent and beautiful!

What are you most known for?

Inspiring newer members to work hard.  I have been given the nickname “Wonder Woman” so I have to give that nickname

the respect it deserves LOL

Tell us a little known fact about Michelle:

When I was in college, they used to call me “Little”.  It wasn’t for obvious reasons, (I am 5 feet tall)but because I always sported my alma mater’s gear, Little Flower!
