Youth Program

At CrossFit Renaissance in Port Richmond, PA, we coach youth to move well, train smart, and build the kind of confidence they need in every aspect of life. This is not a recreation program. It lays the foundation for proud, humble, and confident young people.

Every session teaches proper technique, builds physical skill, and is led by certified coaches who care about the athlete in front of them. Youths learn what the benefits of hard work, consistency, and accountability are.

Training That Builds
Mind and Muscle Alike

Youth CrossFit is coached by Jessica Thomas, owner and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, who brings the same coaching philosophy she applies to adult members: movement patterns and body awareness first, intensity later.

Youth Weightlifting is coached by Brett Thomas, owner and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, who takes a slow and steady approach to building strength that has kept him hitting personal records well into his 50s.

Both coaches have the same mindset: no skipping the fundamentals, no rushing to add weight, just building movement patterns from the start so that strength compounds safely over time rather than leading to the kind of habits that cause injury later.

Our Youth Program builds physically literate, confident young athletes through real coaching and intentional programming. We provide them with a safe and focused environment where they can learn proper movement, technique, discipline, and teamwork. No room for ego, just room for growth.

What’s the Point of the
Youth Program?

The point isn’t to show off. It isn’t about chasing numbers. It is all about learning how to move with purpose, work with others, and think like an athlete. Effort matters more than ego. Progress comes from showing up and doing the work.

Everyone knows about the harmful effects of screens and social media. At CrossFit Renaissance, we built a distraction-free training environment where youth can train, grow, and connect on a personal level so their focus is rewarded with results.

We give youths all the tools they need for long-term growth and success in sports, competition, and life. We teach structure, consistency, and mindset that help create healthy and happy young people who are strong inside the gym and out.

Starting out can be scary, especially at a younger age. We make sure all the skills are taught by our expert coaches.

Our coaches know how to teach, listen, and guide with the goal of shaping capable, confident young athletes. They also notice when someone is having a hard day, when someone is holding back, and when someone is ready to be pushed further.
