Strength Fest Recap- A true testament to CrossFit

Man, yesterday really was a blast. I competed in Strength Fest at my friend Steve Pulcinella’s Ironsport gym 10th anniversary celebration. Steve really put on a great contest and is exactly what a gym owner should be. It’s no mistake that Ironsport has been around for so long.

I did much better than I thought I would considering I trained, maybe, 5 or 6 times over the past 4-5 weeks because of setting up the gym.

I credit my performance yesterday directly to CrossFit. Just by the nature of the programming CrossFitters are ready for virutally anything.

The saying goes something like “we are almost as good at what you do as you are, better at doing what we do, and better at doing what we both do not do”.

PS- I will be finding the exact quote and edit this post as if I knew it all along later tonight 🙂

So here’s some video from yesterday.

125kg OHAH out of the rack-

530 pound 2″ axle Deadlift

225 pound Farmer’s Walk handle hold for time- 52 seconds

And finally 240 pound stone over bar- max reps in 90 seconds
