What will a Renaissance Bootcamp class be like?
When you want to see real results and feel better about your health, life and day to day activities, we recommend working out 3 times per week. Bootcamp classes are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15pm! The class is 45 mins long, so you are in and out – a great workout with great people behind you!
But what does that 45 minutes look like? Will I have to lift barbells? How will I know what to do?
Here is a glimpse of how a Bootcamp class will go:
Each class will start with a 5-10 minute warm-up. The warm-up is important to ensure that our bodies are ready for the work we are going to complete. We might stretch, jog, jump rope or do movements similar to those in our workouts to get our body moving. This is also when members discuss any soreness or modifications that might be needed on that day.
Once the warm-up is complete we will go over the workout. We will review how to do all of the movements and choose our weights so everyone is moving safely with a weight that is appropriate. Our coaches are experienced at adjusting the workouts so everyone gets the best possible workout that is right for them. Medicine balls, kettlebells, dumbbells, plates, and ropes are always in rotation.
When everyone is ready, the clock will start, and workout will begin! These workouts can range anywhere from 18-25:00 minutes long depending on the day and the intent. The format and movement combinations are always changing! You won’t be bored. You will be energized by the new challenges!
On the days when the workout is shorter, we finish the class with accessory work that targets specific muscle groups. We might do extra ab work, or do a superset to work our arms a little more.
