Are you shopping for gifts for CrossFit this holiday season?
If you aren’t into CrossFit yourself, we understand that you might feel intimidated by the thought of giving them a CrossFit related gift.
We put together a gift guide this year to help you choose a gift they will use and LOVE. We’ve organized the gift ideas into categories based on what your fit family member loves most. There’s something for everyone. Happy shopping!
The Gear
Whether you loved one does CrossFit, Weightlifting, Functional Fitness, HIIT or another modality, we know they love their gear. Lacing up a pair of lifters, pulling out our grips for pull ups and tightening our lifting belt for a heavy day feels pretty badass. These gear gifts are sure to bring the holiday cheer!
1. The first purchase new members make is typically trainers. Sneakers that are suitable for a variety of workouts – from weightlifting to shorter runs and everything in between. There are lots of options on the market for training shoes, but this year we are featuring the Nobull‘s original Trainer: the Outwork. A versatile shoe built to last and great beginners and experienced athletes alike. Nobull Trainers for Women. Nobull Trainers for Men.
2. The second purchase members add to their gym bag is their own jump rope that can be adjusted to their height. Prices on adjustable speed ropes run $15-65. Train like the fittest woman on earth, and gift Rogue’s Toomey SR-1S Speed Rope 2.0 for $24.
3. Pull ups and Toes to Bar are rough on the hands, so you will often see CrossFit athletes wearing grips to keep those hands nice and happy. There are two main style options: with holes for fingers (2 or 3) and without. Bear Komplex makes grips that are popular with our athletes. Check them out here and don’t miss their holiday sale!
4. A weighted vest can be a super versatile gift. Your experienced athlete will gear up in their vest to complete some of our most grueling Hero WODs. And while they are looking to take their workout next level, out other athletes love to wear their vest for walks! The vest weights are often adjustable! Rogue is a go to brand for CrossFit equipment and gear and has a lot of options. The BOX Weighted Vest is easy to adjust and gets our vote this year! Make sure to select the correct weight for your athlete.
The Fuel
Anyone serious about their health and fitness journey is also watching what they put into their body. From Supplements to eating differently, their fuel may look a little different – and it’s not easy to change. Support them with these suggestions for the holidays that will help them feel great and crush their workouts in 2025!
1. Athletes who want to lose weight, build muscle and recover efficiently from their workouts will often use protein supplements to get enough critical macronutrient into their diet. It’s not magic, but it sure is convenient. But all protein supplements are not created equal. Check out Whey Protein Isolate from Thorne.
2. Eating healthy often requires more planning and cooking at home instead of eating out at restaurants and grabbing food at convenience stores. Premade meals are an awesome solve! Tasty, quality ingredients, high in protein and super convenient. CrossFit Renaissance is a pick up location for Performance Meal Prep who serves Philadelphia and New Jersey with meals designed to fuel athletes and their families every day. Grab a gift card today!
3. Hydration sticks are a great stocking stuffer! LMNT was one of the first brands focusing on sodium as a key component for a healthy diet and hydration strategy.
4. After Protein, Creatine is the next most popular supplement in the fitness community. With extensive testing showing the safety of this item – you can feel good about gifting it to your athlete this year! We carry Driven Nutrition‘s Micronized Creatine and you can order it directly from the website!
More Coaching
Listen, we understand that your loved one may seem a bit obsessed with their fitness. But can you blame them? They are feeling great. They are looking great. And often their health markers are improving. Add in more confidence and feeling like they are capable to tackle new challenges!
Personalized coaching is next level. Whether in small groups, hybrid memberships, personal training memberships or even single skill sessions – the focused setting can generate 10x results.
A great example of this is our Super Total Program which will run for 3 Saturdays from 1/18-2/1. Spots are limited!
The easiest way to gift Coaching to your loved one is with a Gift Certificate to CrossFit Renaissance. Email us at [email protected] to purchase your Gift Certificate. Your CrossFitter will really appreciate the chance to get even better at their favorite activity:)
For Recovery
Nothing says “I care about you” like a gift that promotes recovery. For an athlete, that looks like tools and treatments that help tired and sore muscles and encourage the athlete to downshift into a Rest and Nourish state.
1. Massage guns are amazing little tools that can be thrown in a gym bag or pulled out at night for a little self care. No spa necessary. Just a little charge and time to give those muscles much needed attention.
2. Mobility is an important component to a healthy workout routine. And there are awesome and convenient apps that offer athletes mobile workouts. Check out Pliability (formerly RomWOD) and GoWOD.
3. Not much beats in person services for recovery. Gift Cards for Massages, stretching, and acupuncture are amazing ways to treat a gym goer this year. We love Port Richmond local spa Sanavita Wellness, located just minutes from the gym on Richmond Street. Whether you give the gift of a massage or a session in the Hot/Cold room, you can not go wrong at this calming, restorative local business.
