Who: CrossFit South Philly, CrossFit Prime, and CrossFit Renaissance have teamed up for this event.

When: Sept. 26th.  Check in starts at 9:30 am and the first heat is scheduled for 10:30 am.

Why: It’s going to be a good time and a chance to meet other members of the CF community, and all money raised benefits Athletes for a Cure and The Wounded Warrior Project

Where: CrossFit Prime – 220 Geiger Rd. in the Northeast (19115).

How to register: Log on to http://www.fgb4.org and register as a member of the CrossFit Prime team. It is free to register but we are requiring that you raise or donate a minimum of $25 to compete – it’s for good causes. In addition, any donations of beer for socializing afterward are highly appreciated.

How it will work:  There will be Men’s prescribed (75lb barbell/20lb med ball) and Women’s prescribed (55lb barbell / 14lb med ball) as well as scaled (various weights) heats throughout the event.  The event ends when all registered competitors have gone.

  1. Great stuff today Everyone! I had a blast, and hope to team up with affiliates for more events in the near future. Bill, thanks for organizing and working out all the details. Huge success! Watching everyone give it their best effort was inspirational.

My score: 336, PR by 11
Checking out the Crossfit Games participants, their average score for the male competitors was 392. So we’ve got a long way to go if any of us are dreaming about making them one day. Anway, keep up the great work everyone! It will pay off.

  2. Today was a lot of fun. Lots of inspiration today for sure. Whenever I compete it fuels my training, and today was no exception.

A full recap tomorrow, latest Monday. Also be on the lookout for the week in review.

Great job on the top score overall of the day Matt.

One good thing on my suckfest of a a score is that I think I now have a weakness that I won’t mind hitting a little more often (high cycle time movements for time). As opposed to god-awful long runs and other monostructural crap, which I am terrible at, but loathe.
